I also use Voluparts. Great parts supplier and good customer service.

OK, found out that after 3 months of loosing my sanity, that if using a truck LS 5.3, you will need a 3/8" spacer on the bell housing for the trans. It is finally together!!!! More videos and pics top come once the combo is in the car..

Made some custom lower radiator brackets. Just enough room in them for the fan assembly I hope.

The radiator is a double pass 1987 Corvette radiator. Fans are for the same car. My goal is to "start" the ar at least make it bark before June 1st.

How did you remedy the steering column interference?

Will it rub when the engine torques the mounts? I would expect you need at least 1/2 inches of clearance to avoid interference under high torque situations.

that pic is an odd angle but there is about 1/4” clearance. The motor mounts are dang near solid, so I don’t expect much movement. Plus I have other car that you can barely fit a feeler gauge in between. The flex will be more of a up and down rather than side to side. I did use a big breaker bar and flex it that way and it doesn’t touch. That said if it is in the way, I’ll have to get even more creative..
