Default 87' volvo wiring harness

I pulled the wiring harness out of my 87' volvo this past weekend because i was assured by a local shop that it had some bad wiring. I stripped off all the protective material and the wires, although a little greasey, look fine, no serious indications of melting or crossing at all. Of course I only looked where the protective coating was damaged and am wondering if anyone has a diagram of where everything goes and what it does and what part of this particular harness commonly gets destroyed. The car itself does not seem to be getting fuel, but fuel does reach the fuel rail. From what i've read and heard the harness near the fuel injectors is where it typically melts away and shorts. I've checked this area thoroughly. Any help is appreciated.

It goes bad in a couple of different spots. You need to look at the entire harness.
Most of the time they go bad at the connection by the firewall.
