88 244 dl gas gauge

My gauge dsnt seem to b wrking no matter how much gas u put in. Any suggestions on what the problem cld b and how i cld fix it? Thnx in advance

it's the gauge itself or the sending unit in the tank... have to test, no real short cut, easier to start with the gauge.
