Default 89' 240 fuel pressure

Shut the car off at the store, and it would not restart.Towed it home.Hooked up fuel pressure gauge, and when the ignition is cycled on,you can hear the in tank pump, but there is no fuel pressure. I jumper'd fuse 4 and 6, and the in tank pump is running again, and has now has fuel pressure.Started car,and verified the main pump under the car is running.Shut the engine off,and car would not restart and again no fuel pressure, even though you can still hear the tank pump. Pulled the in tank pump to check the hose, and it looks ok. Is the pump bad ??

Since you hear the in-tank pump running, the problem isn't there. You need to check the main pump which is under the car on the left side under where the back seat is. When you jumper fuses 4 & 6 (fuse 4 installed), you should hear it run. If it doesn't run, give it a whack with the plastic end of a large screwdriver. If it starts running, then it needs replacement.
