'89 740 Blower motor problem
The blower motor in my 1989 740 Wagon quit on me. I have been going nuts trying to find one, and so far, in the aftermarket, I've found many one wire motors. I have a two wire motor. I just got one from a '90 that was a two wire, but the connector is wrong. Quite frankly, this is beyond annoying. It is a problem that shouldn't exist. But, apparently, nobody makes a two wire motor for this car.
It is a 740GL with air, and without automatic climate control. Does anybody have any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I have the same vehicle. I purchased one off of partsamerica.com. Make sure you get one with lots of fan blades. The one I purchased had less blades and doesn't blow as hard now, but I'm sure it spins around the smae rpms.
I believe i had the same problem with my 91' 740. Bolwer motor went due to a bad water leak, so i ordered a used one from "you need a part", basicaly as junk yard for america, and i needed a blower motor with 2 connectors but the one ei got dident match up right. But i was able to just make it work, i cut off a peice and jammed it on cause i was so frustrated and its been working for over a year now. Basicaly what im saying is, if you get a blower motor with somewhat the right conections, you can make it fit.
Yeah, that's what I'm going to try to do with this one I've got now. I've wasted too much time and money freezing. We've had -35* actual temps a couple times, and that's just miserable. I think I can get this to go together with a little solder.
Thanks for the help...just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious.
