Not Your Typical Volvo 240 Blower Motor Problem
My name is Justin and I own a 1980 Volvo 242 GT and I have been having issues with my blower fan. One day my fuse blew and, of course, the blower stopped working. However when I replaced the fuse the motor continued to not work. It was summer so replacing it didn't really cross my mind until winter. Between summer and winter I had a new stereo installed and the installers noticed that one of the wires coming from the Blower Switch (in the attached wiring diagram it is the wire labelled "R" attached to pin #4 of the blower switch) was not attached to anything, and therefore the motor is not receiving any power! They, and my self (when I pulled off the dash and inspected the wiring) could not find the other half of the connector! The connector is shown in the second attached image with the giant arrow.
My question for you, if you be so kind as to help me is, where do I find the other end of the connecter?! It has been an extremely frustrating ordeal because the blower was working, and then stopped, meaning that the wire must have wiggled lose, instead however it has disappeared completely!
Thank you for any advice you might be able to provide,

I have a 79 242 and have the dash off at the moment for touch up and will take a peek to see if I can find that connector....I don't think 1 year will make a difference in this connection....hopefully.
will reply tomorrow, Tuesday
mean time check out k-jet.org plenty of diagrams there...

Thanks for your help!
I hopped on K-Jet and downloaded the all the wiring diagrams for the 1980 models. After reading through the Heater Fan and AC sections I think what the issue is is that that connector is for AC and because my model doesn't have AC it might be the reason it is not connected to anything.
Unfortunately this probably means that my motor needs to be replaced....

yeah...good diagrams right!!!...
I found out that..CA models had AC and Federal models did not...although my 79 does have AC and it is a Federal model...but I believe the previous owner did some tinkering with my ride.
