Default '90 240 sedan brake lights won't work

I have a 1990 240 DL and I can't get my brake lights to work. I have read a few posts regarding this and followed the advice there but can't trace the problem. The rest of the lights work on the car but the brake lights won't actuate by pressing the brake pedal.

I have checked the fuse, replaced the bulb failure with a new one from FCP Groten, and tested each bulb and socket individually. I can get the brake lights to light up by by-passing the brake light switch and bulb failure with a jumper straight from the fuse box so it looks like the wiring from the dash to the rear is ok.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in eastern washington and I don't know of any good sources in this area for 240's...

Did you test your brake light switch?
Check the green/yellow wire at the brake switch,it should have 12v.
Depress the brake pedal and check for voltage on the blue/red wire.
Post back with results.
