Default '90 245 help....Found Problem, Thanks!!

My wife took her 245 into a local shop to get the middle bearing in the driveline replaced. They dropped it off at her work when it was done. On her way home the car ran rough and the check engine light came on. This morning I looked for loose vaccum hoses, all connections looked good; and all fluids are good. Started it up ans seemed to be running on only 3 cyl, even when reved up. Timing belt was recently replaced. Don't see how the bearing replacement could affect its running. Any ideas will be appreciated, Mike.

There is no way a driveline bearing can make an engine miss--you don't even have to open the hood to do the bearing...

Default Fixed Thanks!!

Gee, really. I never said the drive line repair caused the problem. Anyway, found the connector to the air sensor was barely connected, (clip missing). Runs great now

spray some MAFS cleaner...a good brand.

It sounded as you related the bearing replacement to the rough idle...anyway...someone was tinkering inside, maybe when they did the timing belt. It's nice when you, simply find the problem...the world seems ok at those times....
