Default '90 740 GL: Underhood Mystery Wire

I was checking the oil and ATF levels when I noticed a loose wire next to the firewall. I've recently done a lot of work on the driver's side of the engine but never came across this wire. It's green with a red stripe, attaches to the loom running along the firewall and around the driver's side shock tower. As the connector is broken, I'd like to fix it and find it's home. Any help is appreciated.

Underhood light? I believe around 1990 Volvo stopped putting those in... There should be + voltage going to it.
