Default '90 740 Turbo faded bumpers & trim

I'm so excited! I just got my Forever Black bumper & trim kit ( http://www.amazon.com/Forever-Black-.../dp/B000FOIJXQ ) in the mail today. I'm going to go apply it right now.. I'll post before & after pics when I'm done. Wish me luck! Oh and here's what the bumpers look like after a wash...

All I can say is WOW!!! This stuff is amazing! It's too dark to take after pictures right now but I did both bumpers, side trim, and window seals. This stuff is awesome! Looks brand new.. in the direct sunlight there is slight streaking. This should be fixed with one more coat. I'll get pictures up soon.

Yeah man forever black is the best. I also used it on my 91 740. My bumpers were just like your were, faded and grey. Forever black really works well, the bumpers suck it up at first depending on how faded they are but its wort it. I have to do it again and this time im going to remove the bumpers and doing it really nice! Post thoes pics when your done!

I had to work late so wasn't able to take the pictures I wanted but so far here's how it looks. These were taken before and during the application:

Looks great, this stuff is amazing. And lasts for a long time too. If you have some time i'd say do the grill next, i love those egg crate grills, i dont have on on my 91 turbo but i have a spare egg crate grill just because its a cool looking grill. Good job man. Also i just wanted to know if you used the foam tip applicator or did you do something else because your job looks great.

Thanks! I did the grille also! I removed it and used q-tips to do the grille. For all the trim and bumpers I used the foam tip thats on the bottle.

Nicely done Jon. Made your grill and bumpers like factory-new. That's the stuff I need for my '88 244 and '89 245. The 245 just got a fresh coat of charcoal grey so recoating the black trim will help set it off.

Take some before & after pictures if you do it.. the stuff is under $20 bucks.. not bad for how it transforms the look of the Volvo! [8D]

It does look nice jonnyboyca; I have a 740 for sale on the internet and you directed me to this link. You obviously have a relationship with the company but if it works this well and lasts more than a week it was worth getting the "spam", for lack of a better word. So, thanks, I guess!

To be honest I don't work for the company or have any relationship for the company.. I just love Volvo so much and love to see them in top shape! Plus thought it would help you sell the car quicker..

Hey now,

That is some sweet looking stuff and it seems to do a fantastic job. My '94 is looking for some bumper love and I think that this is the product.

This is the second time that I have heard of this product and to finally see a comparison is fantastic.

Gotta get me some . Thank you for posting pictures [sm=smiley20.gif]of the results. How long does it last?

Other reviews say it lasts about 2-3 years.. So far it's been almost a month and I've washed it twice. Looks exactly like the day I put it on! I didn't even tape off the side trim when applying it and it just wiped right off when I got some on the paint. I was nervous since my car is white. [sm=smiley3.gif]
