Hi all,
I’m completely new to the whole Volvo thing. I’ve got a 91 240 wagon and the odometer does not work. I took it apart and found the gears to be fine. I also found on the opposite side of the speedometer that the circuit board is melted and broken. Does anyone know what function this part serves? Can it keep the odometer from working? The speedometer works fine. Thanks!

 

I don't know exactly what that part does but I certainly would think that you can use a different speedometer. Very hard to say what a burn spot like that would have affected.
