When I am driving at 70 mph, the rpm are at or over 3000. It seems like its to high. Just curious if anyone else has the same car and notices the rpm's at this speed. Mine has an automatic trans, with a 4 cylinder (b234f). Thanks

 

my 91 740 has the same rpm at that speed. also a 4 cyl automatic

 

Thanks for the reply. I am new to this old volvo, and was curious if the was too high of an rpm at this speed. I have only had the car a month and have working through some of the (hopefully) minor issues. It has 100,000 miles.
