So I took the car into the mechanic cause there was an oil leak. turns out the dpo stripped the threads to the inlet and outlet for the oil in the turbo, if that makes any sense. I was quoted $400 for him to tap them and apply a heliocoil which should fix the leak and if not then it would be $1500 for a new turbo to be put in. I just read the post for the 740T and the fact that they run 2-300. I was wondering if this holds true for the 940's as well. also am I being shafted. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but dont have much time which is why I went to the mech. instead of looking for it myself. Any advise would be greatful and any website where I can locate volvo parts such as a turbo would also be appreciated. Autozone and Advanced Auto arent 940 friendly.
