Pre Purchase (done deal) Question
I am buying the wife a 1990 940 turbo wagon tomorrow, and I have a question or two. Everyplace I look says the introduction of this model was in 1991 and all the parts places list parts for the 91-88 but no 1990. Is 1990 a wierd year or will I get parts same as the 1991? Thanks, Jim
There are no 1990 940's for the US market. May be Canadian? What's the VIN#? As far as info and specs, a 1990 740 Turbo is pretty much the same as a 1991 940 Turboso it's a good bet to folow.
Thanks Tedv for the help, I will get the vin tomorrow. Thats interesting, because she says it is a 1990, and it does say 940 on the car, so we will see.... thanks, I'll let ya know tomorrow. We live in Michigan, so Canadian is possible.
Or it could be 1991. Or it could be a 1990 740 that they put a 940 badge on. There are actually very few differences between a 940 and 740.Are the instrument panel's sides angled (940) or do they come down at 90 degrees, squarelike? Are the seats' panels running across or are they contoured? Actually, just give me the VIN and I'll tell you what you got.
