'92 240 radio gives a code-not working

I bought the car with the radio not working. Now I'd like it to work and when I turn the radio on I get an error code and I was told it was because the radio was replaced at some point which I did.

What would I need to do to get the radio working?

Take the radio to a Volvo dealer for the unlock code
