92 240 Steering Issues
I just recently replaced my outer tie rod ends and endlink bushings on my 92 240 and everything went in with no issues. I also checked my inner tie rods for play and they were rock solid. After I finished I took my car out for a drive and noticed right away that when I would turn the wheel I would feel a popping sensation and looseness from the steering when the popping occurred. The next day I had an alignment done and the tech who did it also noticed it right away and said it will probably adjust out when he did the alignment. Well after it was completed it now only pops when you are at a dead stop and have the wheels straight. Sometimes it does it when the wheels are not straight but is very faint when it does happen. I also had the tech look at the inner tie rods also just to get his opinion and he agreed that they were solid and had no idea on what was causing the popping.
Before I changed out the outer tie rod ends and endlinks I had no issues at all with my steering.
Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?
