Default 92 Side Molding Question.

I've searched the forum and can't really seem to find any info on this.

I'm replacing all the side molding on my 92. When I got the car, half of it was missing. I decided to switch to the chrome molding instead of the black that was original to the car.

I've procured all the pieces and the clips. Problem is, I can't figure out how to get the old, broken clips off and install the new clips on the pieces.

Looks like the only way is to get a dremel and cut a slot in the rail to get the clips in.

Is there a secret to this?

Also, anyone have any recommendations on adhesive for the trim piece on the bottom of the door?

Where did you get the trim with the chrome? I have a 1992 240 wagon and am considering getting the chrome trim. How much did it cost you?

I wish he'd covered the later model clips. They're completely different. Thanks for the link though.

I've been scouring junkyards for about two months.

Probably ended up costing me about $20 total.

Ah, well we don't really have junkyards with Volvos around here.
