Default '93 940 wagon 4 cyl auto --- poor acceleration

Hello everyone,
Sometimes when I accelerate from a stop, the car feels sluggish, as though there is no power at all until I get to about 10 mph and then it's fine again. This happens about once a week or even less. Also my check engine light is on, however, I'm unable to get the self diagnostic unit to work. I do know how to use it as I've done it several times before. Has anyone had this problem ?

When was it last tuned up?
When was the last time the throttle body was cleaned?
What happens when you try to pull codes?

I had a major tune up about 10k mile ago and had the throttle body and the idle air control valve cleaned at the same time which is about 8 months ago.

I get 2-3-2 in position 2 and 1-4-3 in position 6 but the problem is that I cannot delete these codes. I have deleted the 2-3-2 code before this problem with the acceleration but now it doesn't work.

The knock sensor might be totally shorted out or the wire might be. That would not allow you to clear the code.
Check the wiring.(biodegradable wiring)
Also check at the main plug at the firewall.
