Default '93 volvo radio/speaker replacement

I've got a well used 93 Volvo 240 base model for my sons first car. It is mechanically sound with good tires but no stereo- a must for a teenager. I have 2 sets of Pioneer TS-G1343R speakers but need help in selecting a stereo- reasonably priced am/fm/cd and maybe ipod compatable along with a installation kit. Any suggestions. Must be reasonably priced. Any help/installation advice is appreciated. It is a lot diffferent from when I installed a radio in my first ride- a '71 Ford F-100.

Go over to www.crutchfield.com and you can view stereos that will fit the car. While you'll pay retail, you'll get install instructions and wiring and an install kit for free. Plus, their customer service is second to none.

My '92 745 (for the kids) has 5 1/4" rounds in the front but no speakers in the holes. I'm going to fix that. I installed a nice Kenwood with ipod and cd. The rears are a weird 4 1/2" I think. When I wired the new deck, I found all the wires there and even found the wires run right to the empty fronts. All I have to do is install the 5 1/4 speakers and we'll have 4. C.

Most stereos are easy to install. The Volvo is wired for on power, constant power (clock), automatic antenna, dim light, bright light, ground and speakers. Match them up with whatever radio suits your fancy. You can also find adapter plugs to match certain radios with certain cars.
