Nice wagon... great price. But I'd have taken my 9 grand to Craigslist and bought 9 redblocks.

 

yes, i hear you. regretfully around the northeast it seems good examples for sale are getting rare.

 

$9K for a 240 is pretty much insane, no matter how cherry.

 

people have approached me in supermarket parking lots asking if mine is for sale, lol ...and it is nowhere near in the shape of that wagon. i tell them no ... not yet

but yes, 9k did seem a healthy number.

 

My family has gotten the " is your car for sale" question several times. First time it happened to my daughter she thought the guy was rolling down his window to ask for her number. She felt rather embarrassed that the guy was more interested in a car older than her than she herself.

All my volvos are sedans... always looking for a wagon. Last one I made an offer on I was gonna trade my Smith & Wesson model 66 for a 245... my wife said we don't need more volvos than guns. She was probably right that time.
