Starts great when cold, will die at prolonged idle, and will not start when hot.

Code is 2-2-1. MAF and Throttle body cleaned. New cap, rotor, wires and plugs.

What next? Fuel Pressure regulator or Temperature sensor?

 

That, and try cleaning the Idle Control Valve...

 

Hard start due to weak fuel pump. Original lasted 446,500 miles. Also, had a frayed RPM sensor wire and a cracked distributor cap. Took the opportunity for a tune up. Running Great! If you have intermittent loss of RPM (needle flops to 0 and back) and occasional flop at cruise, check your RPM sensor wire. $65 part, $80 labor.

 

$80 labor for the rpm sensor? Ouch!
