94 940 non turbo sedan no fuel pump relay
Hi!
I was checking my 1994 volvo 940 non turbo sedan and i did not see a fuel pump relay.
It is possible that a 940 runs without this relay?
It is white in color and it supposed to be behind the fuses, on the left side, but i did not see one.
I dis assembly the ash try, the cigarette lighter and the box above the ash try,
and i can see all the relays, but the socket for the fuel pump relay was empty.
Any answers?
It is possible that the car runs without this relay?
Thank you.
Hector.

the 94/95 non-turbo 940's have a different relay configuration. the traditional 740/940 fuel pump relay is in fact a double relay, one half is the main power relay for the fuel injection system, and the other half is the fuel pump relay.
on the 94/95, they used the radio suppression relay under the hood as the main relay, and a simple relay in position M as the fuel pump relay. This blue relay is PN 9130270, which is also used for other things, like the fog lamp relay. dave barton's relay page says that relay is no longer available, but relay 1259926 Volvo Relays is a direct substitute.

Hi pierce!
So, what do i do?
Do i put a fuel pump relay in the position "e" or just forget it?
The car is running the way it is!
I have a problem with a volvo 940 1994 wagon turbo.
Shall i ask here or start a new thread?
Thank you.
Hector.

a different problem should be a different thread, especially on a different vehicle type (turbo vs non-turbo).
re: your relays, nothing to do. you have a fuel pump relay in position M, and position "E" is unused, there's no sockets there, nothing connected to it.
