I can smell raw gas and there's a rough idle when cold. I need to step on the gas pedal to clear it up and then it runs ok. Any suggestions to check? THANKS!

 

Check the fuel line and the fuel rail, as well as the fuel pressure regulator, in the engine compartment. Also, go under the car and check the main fuel pump and the lines going into and out of it. Look for evidence of gas seepage (wet spots).
