Default 940 bonnet alignment

I would really appreciate some help with a problem I have with my 1994 940. The bonnet is not seating correctly with the n/s front corner sitting about 1/2” too night, and the o/s front corner too low. Is there an adjustment possible for this?

Ive been a regular Volvo owner for many years but not come across this problem before. The car in question is a recent addition to the home and I really want to get all these little snags sorted out and get her looking great again. There are quite a few little cosmetic jobs I need to do, but this issue with the bonnet has me stumped for the moment. If anyone has any advice I’d really appreciate your help.

Regards
Dean

Once we get past the n/s front and the o/s front and the 1/2" too night we might be able to give you some help. Just need a little help with the abbreviations. Maybe some pictures would help also. Was the car ever hit and repaired.

IIRC, the rubber stoppers on the underside of each side of the 7/9 hood can be turned to raise or lower that side. also grease the latch mechanism, I use white lithium spray grease.

i'll take a stab at this ! n/s = 'near side' ?? o/s = 'other or out side?? night = high ??

maybe the hood/bonnet got bent somehow or maybe adjust on the hinge end?

english is an interesting language , no?
