My 1993 Volvo 940 is stuck in reverse. How do I fix this?

 

(moved this to a new thread, since it had nothing to do with the other thread).

so as soon as you start it, its already in reverse even tho the shift lever is on P?

or is this a stickshift/manual transmission?

either way, I suspect shifter linkage is disconnected.
