Default 940 Turbo GLE, automatic, 1998 model

I have recently purchased the subject car. A very simple question. I need to change the oil with oil filter. My observation is that no oil filter clump gets to the oil filter as it has a steel pipe coming on its way. Any how we will try to open it through a fan belt or timing belt filter opener.

My question is that once we take out the oil filter out and drain the oil from the engine sump also, do we need to drain out oil from the turbo lines also or let it be like that. What i understand is that simple change the oil filter by the new one and get new oil in the engine. It will automatically flush out the turbo compartment itself.
Pl give your professional advice as how to go about in changing the oil with the oil filter.

Just change the oil in the pan and the filter. My experience with turbos on other cars (which BTW have an oil COOLER as well as the Turbo oil feed) indicates that this will be enough.

On my turbo car (not a Volvo), I can let the oil cooler lines drain all night and still "miss" almost a quart of oil. But it hasn't caused a problem in 12 years...

If you are truly ****, you could always do two quick oil/filter changes in succession...that way you'll be assured of having fresh fill. Might help you sleep better at night!

I wouldn't want the cooler to be void of oil upon startup after an oil change. I even go as far as filling the filter with oil so as not to let the engine starve for the 20 or 30 seconds while it pumps up.
