Question 940 turbo,... td04 or te05

which would be a better turbo for my 940, i get good power bottom end but drops off, i would like to have constant power, power when i get on the interstate i have the stock td04 and its boosted to 15lbs i dont need more bottom end power just top end.. i have access to a te05 but if its not a power increase there really no point.. which one should i go with?

Te05 is bigger that a td04. So it will give you more boost at the top end, but will take a little longer to spool up. So you'll loose a little bottom end. My car has a TD05. I have no complaints about spool up time. I can't really say anything for the TE05. You may try the Turbo Bricks forum. They may know a bit more about that.

Dude...it ain't the turbo...it's the wimpy "T" cam that's falling on its face at 4k. The stock cam has super low end and mid range torque but absolutely dies at 4k.

Me, I like the JT9D, but it's too big and expensive, but some day... may be.

i had talked to someone who told me to try the td04-15g, that the sppol up time would be similar but would get more boost at higher rpm, what cam should i put in it?

8V Performance Camshafts

Turbo Performance Camshaft

There's two options. I'm not sure about the differences. I've never tried them, but I've looked.
