Has anyone done a TURBO to NON TURBO conversion? I am aware of the opposite conversion on lots of models but was wondering if anyone has done it and the degree of difficulty. Would the computer have to be changed or reprogrammed? Anything else I should think about???? I have in mind primarily doing it with 940 or later 740.

 

1. The biggest question is why would you want to do this?

2. The engine is made for the turbo, doing a conversion to NA would be a bitch I would bet.

 

turbo engines are designed with a different compression ratio.. it would probably feel very sluggish when driving. ALOT more then an original non turbo model. you can change the computer and do whatever you want but the engine still remains the same. unless im mistaked and they are the EXACT same engines.... but even though the engine model numbers are the same. some of the internals can still be different.
