Default Adapter from fuel filter

My buddys 1991 240 has been leaking gas, he replaced the fuel filter and thought it was the copper washers on the adapter piece (i was wondering what the name for this adapter that has this bolt with 2 washers had on it) the bolt has a passage for fuel to go through and the bolt screws into a hose adapter of some sort and that is attached the the fuel filter. The weird adapter to attaches to the fuel line hose has rotted away and it seeps fuel through it. I don't know the name of this part so i was hoping someone could help us out and tell us or even one better tell us a vender. to try to clarify the part that is attached to the fuel line leaks. Lets keep these 240s on the road!

you mean, the banjo fittings ?

the banjo part comes as part of the fuel line assembly between the filter and pump, like

This is the bolt that goes into it...

Yes, that seems to be it. It is attached to the top of the filter (were it screws in ontop the filter) im not sure if the line it routed to the engine or fuel pump. I never would have guessed Banjo fitting. There is only one of these on the pump not another one? just to make sure i didnt snoop around too much while i was under there. the line was facing towards the front of the car, not the back. The coupler rotted and leaks.

well, if its the end connected to the pump, it will be a very short piece that goes from the filter to the pump, side by side.

I think the main fuel lines are discontinued, so you have to DIY. here's one perspective. 240 Volvo Fuel Line Fun

Those banjo fittings will rust through over time. I purchased a replacement on ebay a few years ago. Here is the link:

Use Art's link (in Pierce's post) as instructions on how to replace the fitting.
