New to this forum. Used to own 1965 122 Amazon. Wonderful car which I sold in 93. Now looking at 88 240 2.3L non-turbo, 5sp. 220000+ miles. Excellent condition, no rust. Common parts seem to be readily available. Lots of on line help, so maintenance should not be an issue. However, what about major components such as engine block, cylinder head, manual transmission? If these fail beyond repair, are new or rebuilt available?
What about body parts such as fenders and doors?

depends on the part - but if you want a replacement head or block, you can use a search engine like car-part.com to find used parts nationally. If you decide to do a rebuild, things like piston rings etc are pretty easy to find. For odd stuff, best to google or bookmark enthusiast sites like https://www.240turbo.com/index.html
