Default anyone know what these wires are for on a 1986 740

I bought a new harness for my 1986 non turbo 740 gle but was having some issues identifying two wires

The wires go from the beginning at the firewall to the end of the harness near the driver side head light. The wire colors are a dark red or maybe a dark pink and blue. My old one was missing this and am not sure how vital it is. These fires are the smaller connector In the picture.

your picture doesn't load.

I don't have any wiring diagrams for 740's (other htan the 91 & 92 that are the same as the 940's of those years) so hard to say what those wires are.

what bulkhead connector and pin numbers do they connect to at the firewall ?

No that's the old harness but when I was comparing them I noticed they had all the same connectors except that one. That's when I realized my old one which is pictured has the starting connector for those wires but not the end piece for them. From there I tried to match stray connectors from the car to my New harness which does have the ending cobnector intact. So its end connector is missing from my old harness in the picture and the connectors under the hood that it would had plugged in to. Idk if its relevance to my start issues which is why I posted the pic above.

Was the plug in use on your car? There are several empty sockets/wire plugs that are for various features like fog lights, cruise control, engine block heaters, etc, not used in all cars. If you don't remember unplugging it look at it for signs of contact, if it was plugged in it would be free of dust.

That's the problem, the new harness has the connector, my old one had it but its torn off, I found the two wires for the connector barried in the shrink wrap But its male and female ends are missing so I can't compare dust. There is another connector matching what I'm lacking on the passenger side of the engine bay and I can't plug anything into that one because its on the opposite end of the bay and the connector that could go into it on the starting end of the harness near the ecm harness area already has a connector to plug into.

As you can see just to the left of the canister feeding the radiator that plug appears with the same two wire colors. If it was on the opposite side of the engine bay I could feed the like colored connector to it and have no empty plugs.

is this connector in the general vicinity of the window washer bottle ? maybe it was for the 2nd washer pump that a wagon has for the rear window ?
