Default Anyone need any parts?

Hey guys, was just up at the junkyard today, and they have TONS of older Volvos. 940s, 740s, 850s, and a 240 sedan with black interior.
There were also some newer cars. Normally I wouldn't offer to do this (time constraints) but there are so many cars there that I will be returning for myself, so I figured I'd offer to pull anything for anybody who needs something. If so, speak now.

Located in/near Anderson, SC.
Also, did the 7/9 series cars come with multiple speaker sizes? I'll take a look and see what's there.

afaik, they are al the same. not all have all speakers. little speakres on dashboard, larger speakers in drivers door, midsized speaker in passenger doors

two kinds of grills, interior colored plastic ones and black metal ones for the door speakers. the metal ones are better from an audio perspective (thinner)

I'd be interested in turn signal/running light lenses for an '89 sedan & a '91 wagon. Mine are in decent shape, but eventually...

I wish I had some land, I'd start my own 240/740 boneyard.

Recently purchased 86 244 and I am learning but have owned two other Volvo's in the past. This 86 has the window molding trim popping up on corners and I need to learn how to fix that. I have not been able to locate new trim for the windshield any suggestions should I judge that it all needs to be replaced.

I'll check for all of these parts very soon, guys. Hopefully heading up Saturday. Need to get a new high beam switch, hoping that will make mine work. Maybe they'll have some new 240s.

Ohh, also a intermittent wiper relay and turn signal flasher relay, and the alternator tension bolt, I don't think I need the alternator anymore

get a 2-tone pair of fiamm or hella horns. the 500Hz/300Hz supertone pair will knock the socks off any iphone addled moron in your path, heh. there's a ton of room behind the grill of any 240/740/940 for horn of choice. if your horn kit comes with some tabs of springy metal, DO use these for mounting them, that makes them louder.

Alright guys, I made a trip to the yard, and they've crushed a lot of stuff, but there are a few good cars as well.

'94 Volvo 940 Turbo. Has about 183 on the clock. It's in decent shape, but a lot of good stuff is gone. Turbo parts look good, but the nose is done for. If anyone needs stuff off of it, let me know.

EDIT: The beige 244 has been crushed

Lastly, a '92 wagon. T-boned, everything special about a '92 is broken. Odo says 318k. Car looks like it ran awesome before the side was destroyed.

I found a set, but two of the holes the tabs go in are damaged. Otherwise they are in good shape. Are you interested in them?

Hi, I am looking for a engine for a 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo. The distributor is on the cylinder.

Thank you

you mean, the distributor is on the camshaft.

a 1990 740 T should be able to use the engine from any 1990-1995 740/940 turbo. the 94/95 turbos have enhanced oil cooling on the piston skirts for greater longetivity.

an engine block is way too massively heavy to be shipped, short of a dedicated truck with a 1 ton fork lift, which would be prohibitive, so you probably should say where you are.

What he said.
Although, depending on location, I would be willing to deliver (obviously for a fee). Again, depending on location. I'm on the east coast. If you're in California, you're out of luck. If you're within ~10 hours of me, I'd consider it. Although bear in mind that at this particular junkyard, they do not test the vehicles, so that engine is an as-is kind of deal. But I can't say for sure that it isn't damaged, because of the condition of the front end and the fact that the alternator is on the intake manifold.

Are your sorry that you asked yet? I know I am responding a bit late, however, if you go back anytime soon or if anyone else sees this, I am looking for a complete set of body side molding for a '90 wagon.

Lol, not really. I'm a part of four different types of car forums that I post in regularly, and I do the same for pretty much everybody. So it's one of those things I'm used to. I just have to learn more about these than I have Stealths/3000GTs, or Galants, or Cressidas.
Time isn't an issue, I tend to go fairly regularly and I keep my eyes open for unique cars. It's always CAMRY CAMRY CAMRY COROLLA CIVIC ACCORD, but sometimes it's CAMRY CAMRY SUPRA ACCORD CIVIC BMW. And I always try to make unique stuff for some of my cars that don't have much in the way of aftermarket, using stock parts from other cars.

Are you looking for the upper trim that goes along the sides of the doors? Or are you looking for the lower trim on the bottom panels? Both sides?
