Anyone need any parts?

there's at least two different sorts of grills on late 740s doors, interior colored plastic ones, and black metal ones, these are interchangable. And, early 740's use a different grill entirely, which are square and interior colored plastic. I don't know what the cutoff date is... ah, Vadis suggests its 1989, early and late 89 use the older and newer style. early style used the same PN on both sides, while late style, there's a left and right part.
the new style slide on from the front edge of the door, while the old style push straight in.

Hi Blue, Thanks for offering. It is the upper molding. The red 240 wagon that you have a picture of has the molding in black, however, it may be missing one door molding. It would need to be a complete set. I am not fussy about whether they are black or has the stainless insert as long as it is a complete set. OK, I might prefer the black with all things being equal, but things are not often equal in the used parts world, given a choice I would go for the set that is in better shape.

It's what I did to my roof rack, and boy, does it look gorgeous.
I'll see if I can't get a hold on a full set for you. I'm going tomorrow to pull a radiator support for my car, so I can replace all of the bent metal from the deer attack.

the later style
Thanks for clarifying, I need either a front drivers side black metal grille or a front drivers side beige plastic grille. Those are the slide in style and are L and R side specific please let me know what you find.

I would suggest using a primer on the trim, just to ensure adhesion. The Fusion paint is awesome, and bonds well to everything, but it can't hurt to have that extra bonding layer.
At the very least, I'd say get some adhesion promoter from your local parts store.

I've used SEMS brand Flat Black Trim Paint (available at auto parts stores that specialize in paint supplies) on my late version 740 to repair the blackout over the window strips that are "chrome" plastic underneath... I used a parts cleaner brush to knock off the rest of the loose black, masked it with 2" wide blue painters tape, wiped the surface off with 70% isopropyl alcohol, let that dry completely, then sprayed two light coats, perfect coverage, and the same surface texture as the original. 5 years later, its still looking good.

Hey guys, so there's a new '86 740 sedan at the yard. Most of the interior is in okay shape, but the car was a project for someone and is missing a lot of parts. The transmission, for example, is disassembled and in the trunk in gallon ziploc bags. So if you need a part for an automatic trans, let me know!
Odo read about 212k.

I've noticed that too. That, and that reverse lenses tend to fall out. I think it's because the lenses on the older cars are separate pieces for each light, so they don't discolor evenly.

Time for an update guys! They crushed the '90 244 but they were nice enough to bring out several more. Let's get to it, shall we?
First off we have a 960, build date 2/95, with 203k on the clock. Has three of the wheels, the fourth is missing.
Then we've got a 245DL, production date is 9/88, with 235k. Car looked to be in okay condition. Blue interior.
Lastly another 245, production date 5/87, odo reads 160k but I find that questionable.
