Did an ashtray come standard in 240 wagons from 1990-1993?

I see there is one up on eBay right now, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/volvo...spagenameZWDVW. If it was an option, or aftermarket from Volvo, where would it fit? ~ in the lower space below the heating controlls and dash pannel?

You have an ashtray. It is right above the cubby hole.

 

This was a sample photo, but did all cars come with one?

 

While I can't say definitively, I would assume that they all came with a lighter and an ashtray.
