Auxillary Ground Wire

RE: Auxillary Ground Wire
Why not just look at the wire attached to a 30 amp fuze? (I don't know the size) Bigger is better and be sure to use stranded wire. If you are going to crimp connections use a real crimping tool (klien tools at lowe's) the cheap ones allow you to pull the connector off with your hand, something you should not be able to do. Also allows corrosion which increases resistance and allows voltage drop. I would guess 16-10ga will be aedequate. The twenty five amper on volvo fuel injection is pretty thick wire, go look.

RE: Auxillary Ground Wire
Jeepster- Thanks for the helpful words. Looking at the wire on a 30 amp fuse was suggested by the guys at NAPA, wasnt sure if that was the right way to do it. The (just adequate) charging system on this old bike must transition through many different engine/tranny components. and my battery isnt quite getting the volts it should have. This little trick should insure an uninterupted line between battery and alternator. I will look at the fuel injection wire as you suggested. Bigger is better! You know, I hate those crimp on connectors. Dont trust them- gimmee a soldering iron any day! Thanks for the assistance! Dave
