I'm trying to install a bumper on my 1983 244DL, the bumper seems to be all put together, all 8 bolts are stickin out of the inside. I got 2 bumper shocks but no bolts or nuts. The side mouldings are attached to the car. Am i set to do this myself once i get the bolts?

Some Questions:

What are the sizes of the nuts that connect the bumper shocks to the bumper? (4 on each one)

What is the size of the bolt that connects the bumper shock to the car? (Not the big bolts under the hood but the 2 that go thru each shock thru the rubber piece)

Do I attach the bumper shocks to the bumper or the car first?

Do i attach the bumper to the side mouldings first or last?

Any help would be great, thanks.

 

There is supposed to be studs in the bumper.
I would mount the shocks to the car first then the bumper to the shocks.

Then the moldings last.

 

size of the bolts and nuts?

 

I think Metric 10 or 12 not 100% sure really don't mess with them very much.
