Default Volvo bumper

I have 94 volvo 850. THe thing has been in quite a few wrecks and now all the little problems are starting to tick me off. Squeeks and creeks everywhere.

Anyway, after one of my brothers wrecks the rear bumper sags a bit and takes away from its appearance. ANyone know how to remove the bumper so i can stick some braces in there or somehting....any tips/ solutions would be helpful

i am not overly familiar with the 850, but a starting point would be to look under the bumper for any mounting screws. by removing these you can prolly get the bumper off and mount some new braces. if you have the money, it might be good to invest in a new bumper. if u want more in detail instructions, id suggest getting a repair manual for ur car.

the weird thing is.......it looks like my bumper is attatched to the wheel well. and the mounting screws i removed dont seem to to release it from its grip. i guess ill go buy a new manual.

Think its possible to put s70 taillights on my 850?.......i dont like the orange strip and the clear gives it a bit of a cleaner look.

that makes sense. when i read my repair manual, it said to remove the mounting screws from under the wheel well to get at the bumper and fenders and all. you might have to pry the bumper off, but before u do major body work, it might help to get an opinion from a certified mechanic.

as for the lights, i would most likely guess the switch could be done. the s70 is basically the same car as the 850 except for minor changes and it replaced the 850 line. the taillights are almost if not completely identical and should fit your 850. id say go for it.
