Normal 0 I want to retrofit a aftermarket radio (JVC model KSFX12), with a newer one that has a faceplate input for an aux channels (ie. JVC KD PDR80) The web sites and the guy at best buy says nothing will fit the hole but that's based on the original volvo radio. Since someone's already crammed the JVC in there , intuitively it seems I should just slide the old one out and pop in a new one. What am I missing?

i found a face plate package at garage sale it came with a bunch of different ones. it also needs mounting hareware

You are absolutely right! The previous owner already did the conversion and so you should be able to slide your new radio right in there. As long as it is a standard DIN size which it probably is...
