Default Blower fan / switch on 92 940GL

I am trying to fix a blower / or switch problem on the 92 940Gl. I am working on the car for my niece so I do not know a lot about the electronics, but the Fan works on Hi only (Setting 5). Can someone point me to the wiring diagram for the blower / switch. Couple other questions. I this as straight forward as making sure the switch is working correctly, or is there other electronics in play as well.
There are 3 ***** in this control area. 1) Position for where the heat or AC comes out, 2) heat level which goes from hot to warm, and a single position for AC. 3) the fan level. 0-5 .
Any help would be much appreciated...
Thanks Nick

the fan switch goes to a resistor pack, where each number except 5 goes to a different resistor (5 goes direct to the motor). this resistor pack is on the outside of the plastic tub that the fan is inside of, behind the glovebox. common failure, symptoms are exactly as you describe.

here's a visual how-to. How to fix a 740 940 heater motor resistor
