Default good or bad idea to add a blower on a 1992 940gl

So a friend gave me this idea of adding a blower on my 1992 940gl. But i am not sure if it would end up messing up my engine due to the fact that the car has 250 thousand miles on it. i wanted to get some other peoples ideas on if its a good idea. if there are any machinacs i would like to hear from them. i have had no problems with the engine its self.

I'm no mechanic but here's my wise advice: If it ain't broke and lasted 250K, don't fix it.
