Default brakes pulsate

I was just given an '89 240 wagon, and I'm interested in restoring it. Right now the brakes pulsate pretty substantially, it seems to stop fine, but it's real annoying. A friend of mine offered that my brake rotors may be bent, and suggested replacing them and the pads. Is this a viable solution or what else could it be? Is it urgent?

well my friend, I have experience with replacing my whole brake system, and the longer you wait, the more messed up your brakes are gonna be. if you can, find out if a local community college auto shop is repairing brakes, I save about 800$ that way. They usually charge only for parts. Most likely you'll have to stop into Brake Team or something, and it's not cheap if that's the case, but hey man it's gotta be done. also, it might be your ABS is on the fritz. definitely get a diagnostic and a quote.

Your rotors are warped and will need to be replaced. To tell which ones they are where is the vibrations coming from .
If you feel it in the steering wheel it is the front. If you feel it in the brake pedal it is the rear.
Note: When you buy new pads try to buy the softest you can find. They will wear out faster but will not make the annoying squeek they are known for.
