.....so ive been having this problem with my 89 740 tic wagon whenever i hit boost it feels like the car hits a brick wall and is misfiring to death, over boosting, and will shoot flames out of my side exit exhaust....lawl =[

but when i turn car off while driving or i stop and park, then turn it back on, its off to the races, boosting fine, no flames, no overboosting, but thats short lived, only for one pull does that last, then shes doggin again, off the line in traffic is terrible when this happens, can barely move, i had one person beep at me this moring cause he thought i wasnt moving, just creepin forward, but then if i dont boost her at all, runs fine, even with a little boost, it only starts to dog after one full throttle pull.....idk help...

 

are the tubes from your turbo to your throttle body leaking? I can't remember if the distributors on those cars were vacuum advanced but could check that if it is. This is the car that was sitting a long time right?

 

How much boost are you running?
All the vacuum lines to the turbo good?

 

do you know if the tube from your turbo to your airbox is collapsing?

 

idk i havent had the time to look into it, and decided to ask questions before digging in and going over my head, but yes car was sitting from june 08 yo feb 09 before putting it on the road and driving it, was sitting cause old guy who owned before me thought the tranny was blowing, but fixed that quick with new fluid, but neway, i just wanna fix it....so annoying, since i drive highway 3 hours a day and have no god damn power when i try to go up a hill or pass some stupid civic....looosers lol
