Default A/C Question on a 740

My a/c hasent worked since i bought the car back in august. I really dont mind at all because i can jsut put all the windows down etc. BUT recently my buddy bought this kit for about $32 bucks, and i guess it filled up his condenser and now his ac works great. Now before i go and maybe buy this quick fix thing i jsut have a question. If my condencer is shot then ill waste $32 bucks i know, but how would i know if my a/c condencer is shot. When i turn the a/c on should the condenser make noise or anything like that to show its working? Thanks a lot.

you would have to have refrigerant in the system to know if the condenser is bad, it doesnt make any kind of nois or anything like that.

I think he is comfused with Compressor.

The center of the compressor will turn if it is working.
But you will have to add refrigant to find out.
