Default Caligo Wheels/Tires on 1991 240 & 25mm Spacers

All - I'm assuming that a set of Caligo (16) wheels (https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/wto...824849573.html) will fit my 240 as long as I invest in the 25mm spacers - correct?

If they should fit, anyone know the difference between the two different types of spacers offered on IPD?

vs.

They look to be made out of different material - perhaps one CNC vs. another cast? Anyone know the difference between these two and the reason for $50 difference?

Anyone have any opinions, insight, or experience with this potential pairing?

Thanks!

Anthony

those both look machined to me.... the more expensive ones are H&R, from Germany, while the cheaper ones are IPD house brand. AFAIK they are both anodized aluminum alloy.

putting 16" wheels on a 240 will result in a rather busy harsh ride on rougher pavement. your tire inflation pressures will be much more critical with a /55 tire vs the OEM /75 tires. your wheel alignment will be more critical too, and if your suspension bushings are tired, you'll feel it even more with the /55 16" wheels.
