Default Can I swap header and intake fr B21T onto B230F n/a?

Hey, I've got an '82 240 B21FT but it's got 293k on it, so I picked up a '92 with a B23F n/a. I love the turbo so I was hoping to swap the intake and exhaust with the turbo. The mounts line up and everything, but can the motor handle it? And on a similar note, I was hoping to drop a real mechanical 5spd into the '92, would that be possible? I have tons of fabrication equipment, but is it worth the work? Or should i just swap the tranny from my '82 when I do the manifolds? Thanks guys.

you'll need to do something with the oil drain to the block.

There is a writeup on turbobricks.com and might be one here also.
all parts need will be in the list.

trans swap is also a bolt on process. again... there is write ups on the sites.
the speedometer might need some ideas. newer trans, might have the speed sensor in the diff cover.
your 82 is a cable driven on trans.

the volvo M47 5-speed is a WEAKER transmission then the M46 4-speed with overdrive. Volvo never used the 5 speed with a turbo, it just can't handle the torque.

a turbo B230FT engine has lower compression via dished pistons, also has sodium filled valves, and a different camshaft. btw, you have the B230F not B23F in that 1992.

Thanks a lot, I'm onto turbo bricks now, and this seems like fun!
