Can someone tell me what this is called?
I have an intermittent air flow issue from my vents......see my post with the related subject heading........plenty of air blows from vents at idle, none under acceleration....I noticed this cracked hose (see photo) under the hood which I believe is the cause. Any opinions? And can someone tell me exactly what this is called so I can research the part needed?
Thanks forum!

Dave,
My '94 Wagon doesn't have those pieces!
But from the looks of it, you could wrap the split hose in Duct Tape and take a test-drive, just to see if it makes a difference.
(I wouldn't leave the duct tape on it long, though, too close to the exhaust header...)

That is part of the EGR system. That shouldn't be causing the problem you are having.
I forget exactly what the name is.Volvo is good for having about 5 names fro the same thing.

the hose you point to will not cause the vacuum problem you are having look at the air control valves inside the car on the heater a/c box their are two way vacuum control valves or the vacuum reserve cell note: under accelleration the car has low vacuum (open throttle ) and this can cause the blend door to switch position.
