I have the choice to get either of these cars once i get my licensce (one month and counting). Which one is better, and why?

1983 242 DL or 1990 740GL - both have manual transmissions, the 740 has 260,000 and the 242 has 220,000 approx.

They are both good cars.It would come down to which one you like the look of better.The 242's are getting scarce but cost a little more to fix because of CI injection.The 740 is a little newer and may be in better condition.It would be a hard decision for me to.I kind of like the look of the 242.But the 740 is a little easier to work on to.It will be tough but only you can make the decision.
