i drive a 1990 240dl (178,000miles) and when let off the gas pedal my car does not slow down immediately or in correct relationship to my speed and the road, I can feel slight bursts of acceleration as if my car is trying to maintain the speed even though my foot is completely off the gas pedal. It feels like a vacuum advance problem or my idle is not decreasing correctly. Is there a thread addressing this problem or has somebody encountered this before.
