Default Cleaning Idle Control Valve

Hi,
I just bought my first Volvo a few weeks ago ('96 960 w/ 112k), so I apologize for my lack of knowledge about the cars. Sometimes when I start the car in the morning it takes a little while to actually start the engine...I usually have to coax it to idle by pushing on the gas a little bit. After that, though, it idles up and down a little bit but runs great a few minutes later. From what I've been researching on the forums maybe this is a dirty idle control valve. Maybe? Also, where is this? I've looked online and could not find any pictures of its location.

a 960 has a completely different engine than the otherwise similar 940's ... you'd likely get more help for that 'whiteblock' in the 960 forum, rather than here in the 240/740/940 forum where we deal with the 'red block' 4 cylinder engines.

on most cars, the IAC is somewhere under the intake manifold, and it has hoses that connect to both sides of the throttle body, but its been quite a while since we had a 960 and then a S90, and I never did get under the hood of those very much other than an occasional oil change.
