Code 3-2-2
Fault Codes / LH 2.4 Fault Condition / LH 2.4 Causes of Fault / LH 2.4 Symptoms
3-2-2 / Air Mass Meter wire burn-off signal absent or faulty / Wiring break between FI terminal 8 and AMM #4 / Various driving problems due to dirty AMM wire
so either a bad AMM (MAF), or a wiring issue with AMM pin 4. you clear this code and it consistently comes back ?

Thanks for info Pierce. AMM is new. Funny thing checked OBD after driving and 1-1-1 came on. It cleared itself. Did disconnect battery yesterday and apparently that solved the problem. Is pin # 4 on AMM or cable that connects to AMM? Why is there a reference to FI (fuel injector?) terminal #8?
The engine code pointed to a faulty mass airflow, as well as the 3-2-2 code. Ever since replacing the mass airflow it’s been doing the stalling on cold starts and the 3-2-2 code persists. I don’t know what this particular code means despite the hot wire isn’t burning properly. I’m not sure what I’ve quoted you saying means as far as what I should do or ask my mechanic to do? My mechanic gave me the car back after replacing some vacuum hoses that were damaged and told me the car was fine but to let him know how it runs over the weekend and today I went out to start it and it’s 20° cooler than it was yesterday and it did the same: crank, start, heave/chug, stall. Second time starting it it stayed on without needing the gas pedal depressed. My dad and I cleaned the connections to the MAF and thought that might have been the issue but no change. I’m going to wait until tomorrow to record the issue on camera so my mechanic is aware of what it does. After the first rough start and stall I can get it to run and for the rest of the day it runs fine and starts with no issues so it’s frustrating to have to wait until the next day to start it in order to observe the problem.
I’m well aware I’m not adept at mechanics but I’m home resting after a medical procedure and have been researching this all day. Any advice is appreciated.
